Overview
CalorieCalc is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Calculator Data
All calculations are performed entirely in your web browser. No personal health data (age, weight, height, or results) is transmitted to or stored on our servers. Your calculator inputs are saved in your browser's localStorage on your own device for convenience. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Contact Form
Our contact form uses EmailJS to send messages. When you submit the form, your name, email address, subject, and message are transmitted to our email inbox via EmailJS's servers. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your contact details with third parties.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site (pages visited, time on site, device type, geographic region). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised usage data. It does not collect any of your calculator inputs or personal health data. You can opt out of analytics tracking through the consent dialogue or by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the operation of this free tool. Google may use cookies to personalise ads based on your browsing activity across different websites. You can manage your ad personalisation preferences through the consent dialogue on this site or via Google's Ad Settings page.
Cookies & Consent
We use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Manage privacy" in the site footer. Essential cookies (required for the site to function) do not require consent.
Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since we do not store personal health data on our servers, the only personal data we may hold is information you voluntarily provide via the contact form. To exercise your rights, please contact us.

- Google AdSense — advertising
- EmailJS — contact form delivery

Data Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data you provide to us. Since all calculator calculations occur within your browser, we do not have access to your personal health information. However, for the contact form data that is transmitted via EmailJS, we ensure that our communication channels are secure. We also use Cloudflare's security features to protect against malicious activity and maintain the integrity of our services. While we cannot guarantee absolute security, we strive to maintain the highest standards of data protection in line with UK data protection laws.
Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will notify you by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, providing a more prominent notice. We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information. If you continue to use our site after any changes, you agree to be bound by the revised policy.
Children's Privacy
Our calculator tool is designed for general use and does not require personal information. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action. We encourage parents to monitor their children's online activities and ensure they understand how to use our tools responsibly.
